She recognizes the impact that cultural and diversity-related factors can have on mental health wellness and incorporates this knowledge when developing holistic therapeutic methods by taking into account both social and interpersonal challenges.
Fariba's approach to counseling is simple: get to know her clients, show respect, build trust, and solve problems as a collaborative team.
It begins with making an earnest attempt at understanding her clients' unique worldviews. Fariba finds that when she sincerely respects cultural differences, she garners respect in return. Mutual respect is the gateway to building trust, which is the essential ingredient to any successful client-counselor relationship.
She understands the importance of privacy for human dignity, and therefore puts a high priority on confidentiality. Her goal is to provide a non-judgmental, safe haven, where clients can take refuge from the pressures of daily living to freely discuss their issues and needs.
Her counseling sessions are highly focused. She structures them for the sole purpose of bringing results in support of each of her client's pursuit of emotional health and well-being.
